Incentives Are Available in Giddings, Texas

The state of Texas offers several incentives for businesses looking to create jobs in the state. From tax savings to workforce training assistance, the state is known for being aggressively pro-business and offering incentives and programs to make projects work. Within the City of Giddings, incentives may include cash grants, tax rebates, and workforce development assistance.

We have worked closely with local businesses to help fund projects that lead to current and future expansions. From helping to fund real estate projects to equipment purchases, we step in to lend a hand in order to create jobs and grow our local economy. This includes providing almost $200,000 in grants during COVID-19 to businesses experiencing forced temporary closures and restricted operations; to healthcare providers in need of PPE and infectious disease CE; and for  IT infrastructure to support the remote workforce by expediting the installation of last mile fiber optic.

Businesses have a friend in the GEDC because they have someone available who can help shepherd their project and serve as a liaison to state and regional resources that also offer incentives. In addition, the city is an Opportunity Zone - creating additional tax savings for businesses and investors and some projects may be eligible for New Markets Tax Credits.
