Texas Brazos Trail Association

The Giddings Economic Development Corporation is proud to be a part of the Texas Brazos Trail Association.

The Brazos Trail Association was formed in 1997 by the Texas Historical Commission to promote heritage tourism in rural Texas communities. Because of this program, visitation to cultural and historic sites has increased, and awareness has been raised of the importance of historic preservation to the tourism industry.

Why does the Giddings Economic Development Corporation care about Tourism?

The Texas Heritage Trails Program has returned $23 to the state's economy for every dollar the state invests in the program. The program has increased visitation to historic sites, which generates approximately $95 million in additional spending and hundreds of new jobs.

We'd be crazy not to get involved!
