Camp Tejas Christian Retreat Center
Camp Tejas is a Christian camp and retreat center that strives to serve others as Christ served. They are a nonprofit, non denominational Christian ministry, providing accommodations and activities for weekend retreats and summer camp. Whether you kick back at the cozy Tejas Inn, stroll around the tree lined hills, or just sit for a while on a tucked away bench, you're certain to find a little peace and quiet just around the corner. Leesure Recreation Center Inc.
Leesure Recreation Center is not just another bowling center; they are a family fun center. 16 lanes of bowling, a great arcade and pool tables. The food is great too. They have an extensive menu, you'll find something for everyone in your family. Inside Leesure Recreation, you'll find Prime Time Sports. They make trophies, plaques, Team T-shirts, caps, and the list goes on and on. They now also, have the capability of making full color banners for any occasion. Transform your family photos into banners for reunions, parties etc. They can also transform those photos into usable canvas for quilts, blankets, tote bags, aprons and more.

Color Star Growers
One of the largest employers in the city of Giddings and Lee County. They have increased their workforce to 80 people since their start in 1990. They wholesale to the larger retail market stores all across the United States including Wal-Mart. Chances are, you've enjoyed their product at your own home for years, and never knew it came from little Giddings Texas.
The facility is an impressive array of bedding plants as well as hanging baskets. You can enjoy a small taste of what Color Star has to offer, during certain times of the year when you pass their facility on Hwy 290 West. There are hanging baskets galore lining the driveway to their plant. It is a site to see!
We were excited to go visit their facility a few weeks ago and brought back some gorgeous photos. Take a look and enjoy the tour. We did!! After you see the pictures, I think you'll agree; Color Star Growers is definitely a Community Asset!
